Hey, I was taking things off the shelf in case a third one hits Auckland tonight..thought I take a few pictures

The HumanCar: Bedrock Hotrod, 2010 Edition

The HumanCar Imagine PS (PS is for Power Station) is a lightweight, four-seater, street-legal vehicle that uses hand cranks and a rowing motion to power an electric power train. Four people acting in unison is enough to move this car forward on human power alone. For solo drivers, the Imagine PS can also plug in to charge its batteries to make up for the lost power.

According to the company's website the physical requirement isn't that daunting; a senior citizen can supposedly handle one. The vehicle supposedly runs fast too -- speeds of 60MPH on flat terrain and 30MPH uphill on a human-electric hybrid is certainly something to write home about. Charles Samuel Greenwood, an engineer who has been working on developing the perfect human-powered vehicle since the late 1960s, was responsible for developing and funding the car.
The modular chassis�covered by an optional all-weather shell top�promises future adaptability for future features and technology. The creators are also listening to crowd-sourced ideas such as paraplegic-compatibility and airbags are under consideration. On the drawing board for future models are electronics capabilities like "a human/machine interface touch-screen display with GPS and biometric data logging, iPod integrated sound systems, and Bluetooth-compatible onboard computing/communications devices".

According to HumanCar, each production unit will cost $15,500 and production will begin once they reach 800 pre-orders. Interested buyers can place a refundable $50 reservation fee; as of now the company says it has processed over 100 reservations.
If the HumanCar engineers were to incorporate breakthroughs in other concept vehicles such as the Edison2 Very Light Car, maybe we can have a truly feasible alternative car for the future.

Morons Arrested Stuffing Games Down Pants

Four men from New York City have been arrested after going on a video game-stealing rampage along the East Coast of the United States. Rodney McCreary, Gilberto Matos, Derrella Winfrey and Wilfredo Matos were caught by police when an off-duty cop saw them stuffing video games down their pants at a Toys 'R Us in Annapolis.
This officer followed them to their car, saw the four men leave then called in some on-duty cops to make the bust. When police searched the men's car, though, they found a lot more than just a few games from a single Toys 'R Us.
Instead, they found 219 video games, along with road maps and a long list of Toys 'R Us stores along the entire East Coast. Police are now investigating which stores on the maps had already been robbed and which hadn't, while the four alleged perpetrators have been released on $50,000 bond.

Man Gets Drunk, Shoots Company Server With .45

A man from Salt Lake City is facing charges after he got wasted and shot the server at work with a .45-caliber gun.

The last few weeks has seen a huge amount of discussion regarding Steven Slater, the JetBlue air steward who quit his job in the most spectacular of fashions. Right before he cracked open the door and inflated the emergency slide, he let loose on the passengers with a tirade riddled with profanity. Aside from misusing safety equipment and stealing beer from the drinks trolley, Slater didn't really do much damage to JetBlue property.
The same cannot be said for 23-year-old Joshua Lee Campbell, who recently shot his company's computer server with a .45-caliber automatic. Campbell was reportedly out drinking with a colleague prior to the incident. He later returned to the mortgage company's offices with his .45-caliber gun and proceeded to bust a cap in the company's $100,000 computer server. Though it seems like a stupid move, Campbell already had his story straight for the cops. He told police that he had been assaulted, mugged and drugged.
Despite his claims that his weapon had been stolen during the attack, coworkers came forward and said Campbell had threatened to shoot the server earlier that evening. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Mr. Campbell has been charged with carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence and providing false information to police, both Class B misdemeanors; and public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor. No word on what the server did to deserve getting whacked in the middle of the night.

On the fifth day, a visit to the first and legal wife of the late Colonel Reza, at her house in Narengonj. Even in her 90’s, She was a very bold women, she made herself this wonderful penthouse style apartment on top of the fourth floor of the family house. Flowers, a small garden, a nice deck and all the sun light one could ask for.... After lunch the lady vomiting blood, Accompanied her till she died the same night in that hospital bed.

I wanted to meet a family friend in uttra, since I heard he gave up on life, went part crazy and is a Kazi, who’s goal in life was to get 10 couples married every week. His son said he doesn’t live in the house much, spends all his time in the office. He also has a new wife. Young enough to be his grand daughter...His Office was open, but they told me the crazy man was not there for a few days..Then I read in the paper hes getting two frogs married somewhere in BD! then I hear he has been doing small parts in Bangla films too. I said to myself, what caused this man to break down so bad, that now he plays parts in a movies.

Visit Bramnbaria, the final resting place of the family head, One the most respectable of men I have ever known..man I had more respect for then my father.. Water caused a flood in his grave site, they were on the verge of arranging an exhumation, He was finally exhumed then laid back to rest next to his fathers grave.

The family, is not what it used to be, one but all those elders are dead.

I personally apologize to Reyan, Meraj and everyone else in TG that I know, yet didn’t personally visit as I promised…

I wasn't a huge fan of the transition between cool-down guns and ammo-using guns in Mass Effect 2, but none of that matters if each copy of the game came with one of these Volpin Props-created replica rifles.Most of this rifle was made from cheap-ish parts, which doesn't matter, since it's put together with such precision and care�then painted to look like the real thing. We've been keeping an eye on R2-D2 Central in the run up to the launch of the R2-D2 DROID 2, hoping to snag more information about the phone. After all, they did provide us with the first pictures of the phone, perhaps they'd have other juicy information for us? Well, we haven't heard anymore about the phone but they did provide us with pictures of something else, something much stranger: R2-D2 got married to his (its?) biggest fan, Bonnie Burton, at Star Wars Celebration V in Florida last week.
R2-D2 fanatic, Bonnie Burton writes of her love for droids on the Star Wars blog:

"After suffering through too many broken hearts thanks to dating boys who never quite appreciated my geek girl ways, I made a vow never to give my heart to anyone ever again who rolled their eyes when I attempted a Wookiee roar. I guess you could say I was looking for love in Alderaan places.

So after a brief courtship, which involved speed dating and drinks, these two crazy kids got hitched at the Star Wars Commitment Chapel. The ceremony was officiated by Darth Maul, R2-KT was a flower girl, and Darth Vader himself was best man, along with maid of honor Adrianne Curry.

Unfortunately for the smitten Bonnie, ceremonies at the Star Wars Commitment Chapel are for enjoyment only. Starwars.com writes:
"It does not grant any legal rights, and is not legally valid in any state -- except your state of mind."
